Kansas State held a virtual forum where stakeholders and researchers presented on the topic of Dilated Cardiomyopathy and diet. Speakers included industry members, veterinary researchers, and members of the FDA. On 10/16/2020, Kansas State distributed the materials online.
This is important folks. I feed and recommend ProPlan. Sensitive skin and stomach (salmon based) or turkey/barley. Grain-free foods high in peas/legumes, as shown by hard data, are associated with an increased risk of cardiomyopathy. Please, read the ingredients in your dog’s food . . .better yet, whenever possible, stick with what we know works.
