Beautiful Country Farm on 20 acres that breathes peace and tranquility surrounded by Lake County Forest Preserves. A perfect place to relax and Talk Dogs! Located minutes from the beautiful Chain O’Lakes and several forest preserves. Only a short drive to quaint little towns.

Patron’s Retreat FAQ:
Is the AirBNB dog friendly?
Yes! As is the adjacent indoor facility for the workshops on Wednesday.
What should I bring for my dog?
Bring a crate for your dog(s). Bring your dog grooming and show supplies for the handling workshop. Bring your food bowls/buckets. Bring poop bags. Bring a folding chair.
What is the dress code?
CASUAL! Bring appropriate shoes for the handling workshop. No flipflops. Otherwise, we be chillin’! There’s a firepit, so probably a light jacket for evening fireside chats.
What is the food policy?
BYOB. We’ll stock up on grab n go breakfast foods, light lunchable type items, coffee, tea & water. There will be lunch with the workshops. Laura will put together simple evening meals or we’ll order in. Meals are included in the cost. Adult Beverages are on you! LOL
What’s out of bounds?
Free range dogs … or more accurately, uncontrolled dogs. We are representing the purebred dog community. Do so responsibly. It’s a 20-acre property. Plenty of room for off-leash play. Inside the house, with a mix of breeds and personalities, please treat it respectfully. Dogs on lead or crated indoors.
What can I contribute to the communal effort?
If you have and can throw in an EZup for outdoor components of the workshop, that would be super helpful. A volunteer to provide at least one exam (grooming) table for the workshop would be great. Otherwise, your smiling faces and relaxation mode are all you need.
